Two Federicos, one shared passion and an idea born in Uganda.

We are Federico and Federico, two Italian friends and avid travellers who are used to organising our own trips. We have explored distant places, planned itineraries and enjoyed experiences that have left us with unforgettable memories.

In the summer of 2026, we decided to travel to Uganda with our wives, with one clear dream: to see mountain gorillas up close.

We knew how to organise a trip. We had done it many times. Yet this time, we realised how long and complicated it could be to find the right local operators, collect their proposals, interpret very different quotes and understand which one offered the best balance of price, services and experiences.

There was another, less obvious but equally important aspect: peace of mind. When you organise everything yourself, especially on the other side of the world, many questions arise. Is the tour operator reliable? Will the itinerary match what was agreed? Will the accommodation meet expectations? And how can you tell, before you leave, whether you are choosing the right local partner?

That experience is what gave rise to TheManlio.

We asked ourselves: if organising such a special trip can be complicated even for experienced travellers, how difficult might it be for someone taking this adventure for the first time?

So we decided to create a simpler, more transparent way to connect with the people who truly know the destination: local tour operators.

Today, through TheManlio, we put our experience as travellers at the service of other travellers, selecting local professionals, collecting their proposals and making them clear and comparable, so everyone can set off with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Because we believe that organising an extraordinary trip should be part of the pleasure of travelling, not an obstacle to overcome.
